Weatherstripping
When applying the weatherstripping, do not stretch or pull on it while sticking it down... especially around corners. In a short time, this will unstick the weatherstripping, and cause it to web across corners. To prevent this, lightly compact the weatherstripping as you adhere it around corners.

hood:
Although you can seal the entire hood opening, only sealing the top corners (by the handles) improves air ventilation in the engine compartment.
Doors:
be very careful not to stretch the weatherstrip....jpg)
Trunk:
unlike the hood, completely sealing the trunk is generally a good idea. hide the seam behind a hinge for neatness..jpg)
What not to do:
this weatherstrip was stretched during installation and eventually pulled free.Back one page
