Brake hard lines

Parts checklist

Tools required

Installation notes: You'll likely have to “tweak” some of these lines to fit. Though the fit is close, it's not exact. There's no need to worry though...it takes a lot of bending to break these lines. Tighten the brake lines with a 7/16” lion head wrench. Using a normal open-end wrench can round off the hex on the fittings.

Step 1:This is an “out of car” example of how the front brake lines should be installed. The line heading out of the bottom edge of the photo installs into the front-brake master cylinder.

Step 2: Slide the 3-way union onto the frame stud. Slide on a 1/4” washer, followed by a 1/4” jet nut

Step 3: The longest of the lines follows the main frame rail as shown. When the wiring and fuel lines are installed, adell clamps are installed to hold everything to the frame.

Step 4: Be sure to install the longest of the lines (shown in Step 3) through the hole in the frame. This will protect the brake line, wiring harness, and fuel line.

Step5: This is an “out of car” example of the rear brake line set up. The line exiting to the right is the long line shown in Step 3. The line to the top is the left-rear line, and the line to the bottom of the photo is the right-rear.

Step 6: Install the 4-way union on the frame stud. Install a 1/4” washer followed by a 1/4” jet nut. After tightening the nut, install the brake light switch. Use a 7/8” wrench to tighten it down.
